Honestly, this trip was a bit of a let down. Our group absolutely loved each other but did NOT vibe with our tour leader at all. The communication about the plan was always super confusing and awkward. We felt forced into group dinners at places we didn’t want to eat at. Santorini section of trip needs to be completely reworked. The accommodation is awful, and we really should spend both nights in Oia, which is the only cool part of Island. iOS and Paros were great- wouldn’t change much there. Mykonos- absolutely loved staying at paradise resort because of the day club party, the rooms are a bit gross though. For the Mykonos town night- we were forced to start at 6 pm and return home by 1am because the $20 euro pp shuttle was our only choice. Our tour leader took us to empty bars and then an awful club that no one wanted to go to. I wish we knew more about the many clubs close to our resort ( Tropicana and Cavo Paradiso) and Scandinavian bar in myk
Not combine the 9 and 11 day yours on day 2 in Santorini, friendships/connections already form and it can be hard to assimilate. The accommodation at Paradise Beach Resort is terrible, would not recommend choosing to stay here giving the quality of all accommodation places prior to this. Needs more activities and particularly exploring the islands/towns in more depth during the daytime hours. There was so much wasted time on this tour doing nothing but "free time" until going out on the piss at night, meaning you really don't get to explore the islands in any meaningful way.
There is a lot of room for improvement for this tour and to be honest it was rather disappointing. The 9 and 11 day tours are combined, which was not mentioned and despite this, the leader did not entertain any ice breakers. Instead, the group got to know each other in time and naturally groups formed. Our tour leader was unorganised and often failed to wait for all members to be present when giving information. The tour leader proceeded to get angry/frustrated when asked follow up questions or asking to repeat by members who were not present when the info was given. The accomodation in Mykonos was extremely unappealing having to shower literally over the toilet. For the price you pay, there is still lots of extra expenses not included. Overall a great experience and Greece is beautiful however this feedback needs to be given.
- More organisation and better time management. I've used other companies before who provided clearer plans for the day which created greater independence for people to create their own plans and be with the group when wanted. Kind of felt like I had a baby sitter which I didn't need...
Can't think of anything I would change however there were a few things that were out of Medexperience hands, one of the activities I was excited the most was the Paros Boat trip which was canceled. Everyone I spoke to about the Greek Island Hopping told me it was the best activity on the trip but unfortunately it was canceled for us and I didn't have much to do in Paros as an alternative for the whole day. Also my group was a bit small with nine people on the tour and being only one of two males in the group, it would have been great to have a few more guys on the tour, however this is also completely out of Medexperience hands and Ihave no regrats doing the Greek Island Hopping tour.
